Grand Soleil 56 is designed by Philippe Briand . She is the latest demonstration of Cantiere del Pardo's philosophy of building a high performance sailing yacht, easy to sail even shorthanded, without compromising comfort and luxury.

Like successful sisterships of the Grand Soleil range she offers a modern hull and an efficient deck plan, simple and clean, designed both for racing and for safe long passage cruising. The sail plan, with a small overlapping of the genoa and a mast without backstay runners, allows comfortable shorthanded sailing.

Special attention has been paid to the access from the companionway to the water and shore with a walkaway at the same level and an opening transom.

The interior layout offers an owner's suite with head and seperate shower, two guest's cabins, two guest's heads and a crew cabin in the forepeak with direct acces from the deck. The U-shaped galley is located next to the companionway on the port side, opposite to the large chart table and a large oilskins locker.

Great care has been taken to weight distribution, the installation of all mechanical and electrical equipment (power generator, air-conditioning, water-maker, etc.) as well as to their housing for easy use and maintenance.
