Princess Iolanthe
Luxury yacht charter France Frech Riviera Corsica Sardina Italy Mediterraneran
She is essentially classic both for the external lines by Luca Dini and the sober and full of light interiors, designed by Jean Pierre Fantini..
The wide outdoor areas dedicated to relax are located among the sun-deck, the forward area of the wheelhouse – ideal for having breakfast, a drink or sun-bathes without being seen from the quay – and the stern cockpits of the main and the upper deck.
The sun-deck is, ideally, divided in three areas by the large roll-bar creating a middle area constantly shady where is located the dining table; a bar counter and a Jacuzzi surrounded by a large sun-chair occupy the deck bow area whereas the stern one is fitted out with basket chairs for relaxing and conversation, similar to those fitting out the stern cockpits.
The first one is the wide welcome area-in-the-round from which you can reach the main deck salon; sure sensational is the spectacular impact matching the technical choice of a double sliding door . This solution allows to “insert” ideally the two little sofas fitting out the lobby alternatively in the large salon or in the cockpit, creating, anyway, a secluded area, suitable for a more confidential conversation or to read a book. Another peculiarity of this deck is the main entrance foyer, amidships starboard, with access from the external communication trench and near the royal foldaway ladder; this is the traditional solution for all large yachts and cruising ships, in acknowledgement of Princess Iolanthe’s dimensions and class. Finally, quite unusual is the choice to destine for dining room the stern area of the upper deck salon instead of obtaining it in the main deck.
From the entrance foyer the guests can head, proceeding on their left, to the large salon or go down to the lower deck where are located the four large guests cabins, two double cabins with bathroom provided with bathtub and two twin-bedded with bathroom and shower; the same stairway leads, then, to the upper deck where is located the second salon, with dining room and bar, particularly full of light thanks to its large windows, a little sitting-room provided with sofa-bed and therefore convertible in a twin-bedded cabin if connected to the contiguous service bathroom which thus performs a double function and, finally, the control area, with the wheelhouse, the Captain’s cabin and his office.
The full-beam area forward on the main deck is reserved for the Owner; the suite is composed by the office, the real cabin and two bathrooms communicating through the passing shower.
Finally, the main deck contains, on the left, the galley provided with professional fitting out to be able to manage the charter needs too; a secondary access, next to the galley, leads to the comfortable crew quarter.
The resulting atmosphere is relaxing thanks to light coloured fabrics and carpets, emphasized by the three different wood species chosen for matching; in well defined areas some marked design concepts gave prestige and refinement to the rooms; and the overall design can be defined as “Classic Contemporary Style”.
The comfort aboard isn’t, however, only due to the atmosphere created by the designer; from a strictly planning point of view Mondomarine concurs in a substantial way to the achievement of an high comfort standard “soundproofing” the floors, ceilings and walls from metallic frames through floating supports reducing to a very low level noisiness and vibrations in all of the spaces.
In summary, a curiosity: in the large peak serving as back for the stern sofa of the main deck cockpit is located a crane with an up to 7 metres radius, allowing the discharge of tender housed in the large garage, astern of the engine room.
